Here's a few from the past: Coasters for the NRA

I and another were assigned to come up with a way to promote an association we were not particularly fond of and were assigned the National Rifle Association. We did our research on the NRA and found that one of the things that the NRA promotes is self-defense. Using this research, along with the research that you had to be 21 years of age to own a gun, we decided to use coasters in bars to promote toward the younger adults that may live in a city or urban environment. On the front of the coaster is a situation in which someone may be in, and on the back shows the logo of the NRA, along with the date of establishment, and in caution tape, it says "Don't let this happen to you". Each of the coasters would be in the shape of a body.

Screenplay for an NFL commercial: Superbowl promotion

One of my own ideas. Could still use some tweaking but it was an assignment to come up with a 30 second commercial for the NFL to promote the Superbowl, and encourage people to continue watching the whole Superbowl.
I feel that in two days I came up with a fairly good idea, but like I said, it could still use some tweaking.

Open scene: coming out of the locker room
Pointing at pants, one football player to another
, “you know how hard it is to get these things on…
other footballer “yeah, it takes a REAL man to wear tights

Scene clears to view the football field, players run out as if to take the field, and then all of a sudden, start singing:
We're men, we're men in tights.
We run around the field under the lights.
We're men, we're men in ti-ights.
We grab the fumble, we punt away, that's right!
We may look like sissies, but watch what you say or else we'll put out your lights!
We're men, we're men in tights,
Always on guard defending the bragging rights!

At the same time, the NFL players are dancing, closes the song with a can-can dance line
(Song has same tune as the song from Robin Hood: Men in Tights)

Closing scene: closes to dark with NFL logo
Printed underneath logo
: Superbowl: You never know what’s in store

Nikon CoolPix3100

We'll start off with something simple.

Despite the slight sexual connotation here, I don't mind this advertisement. We see what appears to be two different versions of a girl, one, a little more amped up than the other is. We see a small skinny girl on the left side of the ad, and on the right side, an almost identical girl, with larger breasts. The position that the girl on the right is standing is showing a slight position of power, the way her shoulders and posture is being carried with her chest bared and shoulders back is obviously supposed to show us that she is the "better" one. As well as this, we are supposed to associate the "enhancement" of the breast with the addition of megapixels that Nikon has provided for their new camera.
Obviously this advertisement was geared towards the male audience out there.

Introduction

This is the first post in this blog.
What this calls for, besides an explanation, might also be my way of thinking. What I'll be posting within this blog will be various pieces of "creativity" or art. We can think of art in many ways, as it is a broad word, however I'm focusing in Advertisements. This is a note to make: not all of the advertisements that will be posted will be mine. I may be pulling some advertisements that I like or even dislike, and putting them on here and talking about them. I may pull some strange advertisement formats that people aren't used to.
I will also be putting up advertisements of my own that I have created. I will make a note saying that they are mine, and put a description of the advertisement underneath as well as what the advertisement was for.

Enjoy.
